What is the difference between a ‘Gel (Shellac) Manicure’ and a ‘Gel Overlay Manicure’?

Our Gel Manicure service uses a gel based polish that lays slightly thicker than a classic nail polish (but not too thick, don’t worry!). We offer a very wide variety of colours; from nude basics to bright colours of the rainbow! A gel manicure is meant to last longer than your regular manicure as the product will not chip as easily as regular nail polish. Instead, after coming in for your first gel application, we will do a gel removal service prior to your reapplication. Do not forget to book the ‘gel removal-hands’ service when rebooking your gel manicure!

Our Gel Overlay Manicure is the perfect service for those who wish to build strength or length to their nails. This product is slightly thicker than the gel polish, meaning it is meant to practically never chip! For this service, we will infill the nail polish, rather than a removal and reapplication. We offer plenty of lovely colours; soft pinks, nudes, light pastels etc. By continuing to complete this service every two weeks, nails will become strong and can appear as if you have extensions- just remember to take good care of them, nails are jewels not tools!
